Getting Access
To use Loome, you need to request access through the RACE team.
Prerequisites
| Requirement | Description |
|---|---|
| RMIT Affiliation | Staff, student, or approved collaborator status |
| Research Project | A defined research project requiring cloud resources |
| Budget Source | Funding allocation for cloud computing costs |
| Supervisor Approval (students) | Your supervisor must approve the request |
Access Request Process
Step 1: Contact the RACE Team
Submit an access request by contacting RACE Support. Include:
- Your name and RMIT ID
- Department/School
- Research project description
- Estimated resource requirements
- Budget/funding source
Step 2: Project Setup
Once approved, the RACE team will:
- Create your Loome project
- Allocate your budget
- Configure your access permissions
- Send you login credentials and instructions
Step 3: First Login
- Navigate to the Loome portal URL (provided in your welcome email)
- Log in with your provided credentials
- Complete any required onboarding steps
- Review your project dashboard and budget allocation

Warning
Resources will be stopped or terminated if your budget is exhausted. Monitor your budget regularly to avoid interruptions.
