Other Connection Methods
HTTPS Web Access
Access web applications running on your workspace directly.
- Click Connections on your workspace
- Click Dashboard or the HTTPS connection option
- A new tab opens connecting to port 443 on your workspace
Note
This connection method is useful when your workspace is running a web server or dashboard application.
Chromebook / Browser-Only Access
If you only have access to a web browser:
- DCV (Browser) — Full remote desktop, no install required
- Web IDE — VS Code in the browser for development work
Both options are available from the Connections panel on your workspace.
Common Issues
| Issue | Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Connection refused | Workspace not running | Start the workspace first |
| Connection timeout | IP not whitelisted | Update security group with your IP |
| Certificate warning | Self-signed certificate | Accept the warning and proceed |
| Popup blocked | Browser settings | Allow popups for the Compute Service site |
